BEUKELAER, BRENT - RAMEN ALS OGEN

We know Brent Beukelaer also as Brent Buckler, singer and songwriter of The Radar Station. These winners of Stu Bru's Nieuwe Lichting (2020 edition) scored very well with the public, radio and press with their debut album 'Life inside a Tornado', accompanying singles and fantastic live shows. As a solo artist, Brent Beukelaer brings small unique stories from an alternative universe that is just around the corner. With his Dutch indie music he creates a colorful world that is warm and fresh at the same time. Inspired by artists such as Nick Drake, Spinvis, Boudewijn De Groot, The National and in particular Lieven Coppieters (with his legendary album Jus d'Orange from 1976). In 2016 Brent became the Belgian winner of the prestigious Nekka competition and in the following years he played at many fine festivals and visited renowned venues such as Het Depot (Leuven), Arenberg (Antwerp) and the Brussels AB. In 2021, Brent released his debut album “Heen Zonder Weer”. Singles such as “De Uitlezen Man” and “Klein Maar Gigantisch” were picked up by Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio Willy, NPO Radio 5 (NL) and Urgent FM. The successor “Ramen Als Ogen” will be released on May 10. Singles “Ochtendwekker” and “Ademwolk” reach playlist listings on national radios in Belgium and the Netherlands.
