AMON AMARTH - THE ALLFATHER AWAKENS (Ltd. Blue Marbled vinyl) (pre-order 02/10/2026)

There are moments in metal that feel like a declaration of war, and AMON AMARTH's The Allfather Awakens is exactly that — a full-blown Viking invasion pressed to wax. This is not merely a collection of songs; it is a thunderous saga carved from the北欧 bedrock of death metal, where melodic tremors shake the ground beneath your feet. Johan Hegg's unmistakable roar sounds more commanding than ever, like a chieftain rallying his warriors before the final charge. The riffs hit with the weight of a battle-axe, weaving through epic, frostbitten melodies that harken back to the band's golden era while pushing forward with renewed ferocity. From the first thunderous drum fill to the last fading chord, The Allfather Awakens is a masterclass in melodic death metal that grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go. The production is massive, every blast beat and guitar harmony hitting with crystalline precision, yet retaining that raw, organic power that makes Amon Amarth legends. This is the sound of a band at the peak of their powers, celebrating their legacy while looking toward the horizon. Whether you have followed them since Once Sent From The Golden Hall or just climbed aboard the longship, this record will make you raise your horn and sing along.
